here's
my next project |
|
This
guitar is based on a modern style Fender
Telecaster. The
body and neck are from Tommy Rosamond &
the
crew at USA
Custom Guitars.
The
pickups are Seymour Duncans,
the bridge is a 6-piece Gotoh, and the tuners are Schaller
minis. |

here's
my set of Seymour Duncan "SWD-Custom" telecaster
pickups -a hot, tapped bridge pickup, and a hot neck pickup.
I'll use 5-way switching. I ordered these while doing a factory
tour. Knowing that Seymour's a tele player, I asked MJ,
"What's Seymour like in a tele?", and that's what
I got.

| These
were wound by MJ in the Custom Shop. The bridge pickup measures
9.4K, and 6.6K tapped. The neck measures 7.6K. As far as I know,
the magnets are Alnico 2. |

| Here
are a couple shots of the neck - quartersawn maple/ rosewood
fretboard, 22 frets (Dunlop 6150's), pearl dots, 10" radius,
C profile,
.840 thick at the first fret, with custom rolled fingerboard
edges. |

| Here
are a couple progress pictures of the neck finishing.
This is after 3 coats of Tru Oil with fine sanding
and steel wool used between coats. Then a light amber
aniline dye, followed by a coat of lemon oil and
another coat of Tru Oil. |
