Progress pictures ...Forumcaster 001

Thanks to Gregg Stewart from Warmoth Guitar Products

here's a little blip from Gregg about the body:

It’s a center joined two piece. Light weight Swamp Ash tends to sound really open and alive so I gave this one the “ping test” and it just sounded like it had “mojo.” It looked good in person too and I thought a blonde transparent finish would look particularly good on the bright shade of Swamp Ash it was.

Getting the perimeter honed in....

Aaron is one of Warmoth's CNC operators. Super cool guy that plays upright electric bass with a rockabilly band!

You could say we're up to our neck in necks!

Getting the back shape dialed in...

Kevin, Warmoth's Production Manager double checking that the specs are dead on... Aaron usually has his eyes open.

This is Boun. He's been here at Warmoth for about 20 years. Definately one of the best neck craftsmen on the planet.

It's fretting time! Meet Silas. He's head of the the fret department at Warmoth and a Roberto-Venn graduate. Silas definately knows his schtuff and is definately one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet!

No automatic machines doing this work. I guess that why so many people don't feel that they need a fret level when they get their Warmoth neck. We always suggest a fret level though if you want your action really low.

Silas.
