this is my custom Telecaster project.

here are the vital statistics:

-- lightweight swamp ash body, transparent Royal Blue

-- one-piece birdseye maple neck

-- Vintage pearl pickguard

-- Seymour Duncan pickups - Vintage Rhythm/ Broadcaster bridge

-- Joe Barden Telecaster bridge assembly with compensated brass sadles

-- Gotoh vintage-style "Kluson" tuners

-- assembly by Fred at the Repair Zone

-- thanks to Rey at GiraffeRiders for the photos

This guitar was based somewhat on an early 50's Telecaster, at least as far as choice of woods, pickups, and hardware, although it certainly varies as far as finish is concerned. Most of the parts were ordered from Warmoth - body, neck, and most other parts. The vintage style Barden bridge was ordered from GuitarHeaven. I got the pickups locally at the RepairZone, and Fred gave me a great deal on installation, along with the assembly of the rest of the guitar, so I decided to "do it right". The ash body is super lightweight; the neck joint is tight as a bank vault. The combination makes for a very lively, resonant guitar.

here are some sound files:

low: 1) bridge 2) mid 3) neck -- These were recorded with a $2 computer mic, and just give an example of the range of tone

hi : 1) bridge 2) mid 3) neck -- These were close-mic'ed with a Shure SM-57

Equipment: Blues Junior with JJ power tubes & a Jensen Reissue C12N
